Candy Mix:
Mix together 1/2 c crushed candy canes (mint) and 1/2 c powdered sugar and set this aside.
Cookie Mix:
Cream together 1 c butter or margarine, 1/2 c sifted powdered sugar.
Add:
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 c flour (add gradually)
1/2 c nuts (optional)
Form into small balls and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
Press down with fork.
Bake at 350 deg for 10 min.
Roll in crushed candy mix while warm
